Walking into The Pune Design Show 2025, we knew we weren’t just displaying stone. We were sharing a vision. At Grava, we believe Indian Natural Stone is not just a material. It’s a medium of storytelling, a celebration of craft and a design element with soul.
Our exhibit turned heads and sparked conversations. Architects, Interior designers and design lovers stopped to admire, feel and connect with the textures and stories embedded in every piece. From bold surfaces to thoughtful carvings, our showcase was all about bringing stone to life.
Our stall was shaped by the creative vision of Ar. Tushar Kothawade Sir and ID. Chiranjivi Lunkad Ma’am, who brought together design and emotion in the most thoughtful way. Every detail had a purpose and every piece had a story to tell. The ideas behind two of our most loved pieces, Bhoomidhara and Aranyam, were beautifully imagined by ID. Chiranjivi Lunkad ma’am, adding a personal touch that made them truly special.
Three pieces in particular created a buzz.
Bhoomidhara, carved from deep black basalt, featured a beautifully detailed image of Varaha, the avatar of Lord Vishnu. The tacha work and polish were done entirely by hand, giving the piece a raw yet powerful presence that drew people in.
On the other hand, Aaranyam, crafted from Banswara White Marble, brought calmness through its soft curves and refined detailing. It became a quiet favourite among those who love minimal, soulful design.
Key to the design was its bold facade, a solid red face with nothing but “Experience Grava” inscribed on it. No product visuals, no distractions. It demanded attention through architectural confidence alone. Inside, display panels and textures came alive through stunning stone finishes, curated not just for utility but for emotional resonance.
While the carvings were captivating, the textured stone finishes became the real conversation starters. We introduced a rich palette of finishes that made stone surfaces come alive in new ways, both visually and physically.
Visitors experienced:
Sangathan, black marble fused with White sandstone and metal inlay to symbolize connection
We imagined our stall not just as a display but as a space you could truly feel. We wanted every surface to reflect the presence of stone, from the walls and flooring to the roof above. It was important to us that visitors didn’t just see stone, they experienced it all around them. Even the Roof featured Stone Veneers, adding a clean and elegant finish that quietly celebrated the beauty of stone in its most refined form.
We showcased two artworks that left a lasting impression.
Sanchalan, a mosaic made from various marbles and mother of pearls, flowed like a melody across the wall inspired by nature.
Pushpapravah was created by cutting and layering marble pieces. It formed a detailed floral design, becoming a celebration of flowers expressed through the delicacy and elegance of stone.
In a world full of fast finishes and temporary trends, natural stone surfaces offer something long-lasting while keeping the aesthetics in mind. They are rooted in history, grounded in nature and full of design potential.
At Grava, we see architectural stone design as something more than decoration. It is expression, function, and legacy. What we brought to PDS 2025 was just a glimpse of what stone can become when shaped with intention and care.
If you are creating a space that feels real, timeless and is thoughtfully designed, stone is the perfect place to start. And Grava is here to help you “SHAPE THAT STORY”.
